I’m thrilled to announce that from July to October, I’ll be serving as a Youth Ambassador for the USA Pavilion at EXPO 2025 in Osaka, Japan!
International Expos, or World’s Fairs, are extraordinary events that unite people and innovations from across the globe to promote collaboration and address shared global challenges. This year’s USA Pavilion theme, “Imagine What We Can Create Together,” aligns with EXPO 2025’s broader theme: “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.”
As one of 89 Youth Ambassadors—representing 47 states and speaking 22 languages—I am honored to be one of the “Faces of America” to more than 28 million expected visitors. I’m especially proud to represent Chicago, the State of Illinois, and my Ukrainian-American background, while promoting citizen diplomacy on the world stage.
My journey at WorldChicago over the past five and a half years has inspired me deeply. Working alongside dedicated colleagues and welcoming international visitors has shown me the power of collaboration and the importance of citizen diplomacy for our city, state, and country.
This opportunity would not have been possible without the support and lessons I’ve gained from the WorldChicago community and everyone I’ve met along the way. Thank you all for your encouragement and partnership.
I look forward to sharing stories and insights from Osaka and continuing our work to advance citizen diplomacy in Chicago when I return. Until then, bon voyage—and stay tuned for updates from the Expo!
