Fellowship hosts travel abroad

Fellowship hosts have the opportunity to travel abroad, compliments of the U.S. Department of State, to implement a joint-project in their fellow’s community.

My work advances education opportunities for refugees in Malaysia at a local school run by UNHCR. My fellowship at Catholic Charities was an amazing experience to learn how U.S. social work creates access to education and employment for marginalized groups to improve their standard of living. Personally, I will never forget the kindness and generosity of all the wonderful colleagues and friends I met on this life changing journey.

Young Southeast Asia Leadership Initiative Experiences

Aldi (YSEALI Fellow, Indonesia) was a true joy to host at Chicago Beyond and we hope he enjoyed his time with us as much as we enjoyed having him. His final presentation was fantastic, and he’s become a great teammate over these past four weeks. We can’t thank you enough for connecting with us to host. I hope this is the beginning of a great partnership!
